Bebington Murals from 2011
If you check out Bebington Murals 2009 you'll see why I thought when I was asked to do it again it was a nice commission. I did it for love, and I love the Library at Bebington Civic Centre. The staff like the murals as they change with the day, being translucent in the winter sun, then getting more colourful as the day went darker. The winter light was magical and they actually changed so much as the night closed in. Then when the light had gone and all the electric lights came on in the library you could see them from outside. I have always thought as a sufferer of Seasonal Affective Disorder that everyone needs colour in winter. I think it helps lift the mood. That's why we decorate our houses to celebrate the Lord Jesus being born in such lovely colours and lights. Plus I did Christian pictures as we're celebrating Christmas and I particularly enjoy creating these acrylic paint and P.V.A glue Angels, Mary and baby Jesus and the three Magi.
The time was limited as I had a knee injury and in fact did the last one of the Magi in three hours, so wasn't my best work but did the job.
