These were a few experimental ideas to try for the Come Together Beatles exhibit I've done for over 20 years.

This is a papier mache guitar I made entirely free hand. I cut up old cardboard boxes taped it papier mached it then painted it. It's called ripped because the psychedelic design is painted to look like the paper was torn away to reveal an old painting of the four lads who shook the world underneath it.

 Self explanatory really again these apart from some very expensive aluminum wire, acrylics and wall paper paste were all made with left over bits and bobs that would have been thrown in to recycle bin! So instead I made  the boys with the guitars, it took a fair few weeks, and each model is approximately 2 to 2.5 ft tall. It took so long because of the vast drying time,  but worth it in the end. This had a happy ending. A young couple who were Beatles mad bought the Fab Four off me for their wedding. Let's hope they're still together unlike the Beatles. These models are converted to 3D from the cheesy cartoon made in the 1960's. I hated the Ringo one when I watched it a while ago. He sounds so bloody stupid. Whoever did the voice had no idea about Scousers. Anyway I suppose I could class the as folk art, I come from Merseyside like the Beatles so it's my papier mache privilege to do it.
