Boys on film. Part of the Beatles exhibition 2011. Held in the Seel St. Gallery run by June Lornie.
This is one of this years entries into the Come together exhibition (See full details below). I got the idea when I thought of how much I missed the old films and developing them and the excitement of picking up your pictures from the Chemist or Max's on a Saturday.I do love digital but there was something about buying a film loading the camera. A little like Russian Roulette really, how would they turn out, did it work, what would you look like? It was like vinyl records same magic and the freedom that film and hand held cameras brought to ordinary people unheard of until the 50s and 60s.
The piece below is called when the Beatles met Picasso and is just a play on Piccaso's colourful style and using the Beatles instead of three prostitutes. Yeah look it up.
